Women’s Basketball League

Adult Leagues are a great way to stay fit, meet new friends and play a sport you enjoy with others who love to play basketball as well.  Casual player? or looking to improve your skills?  Join the BBJ YMCA Women’s Basketball League! 

Cardio Flow

Build cardio endurance using various techniques (step aerobics, boxing, kickboxing) followed immediately by a refreshing light yoga session. Friday:  9:30 – 10:30 am

Strengthening

Each class is different from the last!  Tabata training, boot camp and circuits-all utilized to work your whole body. Wednesday: 9:30-10:30 am Tuesday:  5:00 – 6:00 pm Thursday:  6:00 – 7:00 pm

Body Sculpting

Focused workouts to keep your body challenged. Tuesday and Thursday:  9:30 – 10:30 am  

Silver Sneakers Ener Chi

Increase strength and vitality through rhythmic movements and focused breathing of tai chi forms and principles. Mondays:  11:00 – 11:30 am

Adult Group Swim Lessons

Lessons for adults encourage self-confidence and skill development. Participants learn basic skills such as floating, breath control, efficient kick and arm movements and set attainable, individualized goals. 

Spring Soccer League

Through YMCA soccer, participating youngsters will learn the basics of soccer, plus the important life skills of teamwork, fair play, and good sportsmanship. All ability levels are welcome to participate.

Strength Training Weight Lifting 101

Build your strength with this new group weight training class.  Learn proper technique, build your core and learn workout and rest schedules needed to gain strength while learning to safely use free weights.  Additional fees apply.

Relax & Roll

Tight and sore muscles? This leads to downward spiral with our bodies having more aches and pains. Foam rolling is a proven way to help release tension. This class will help you improve flexibility, prevent injuries and release stress. Thursday at 8:30 a.m.

Adult Volleyball Games

Enjoy playing volleyball? Adult volleyball players meet in the Y gym for co-ed recreational games. Time is set aside for those who have some volleyball experience and who want to get some exercise and have fun at the same time.

Pickleball

Come be a part of one of the fastest growing sports in the country! Pickleball is a racquet sport which combines elements of badminton, tennis and ping-pong (table tennis).

So you are not a lap swimmer, early morning, late evening, or structured person? Well this class is just for you!

Water Workout

A great workout. Water provides great resistance while keeping cool in the summer heat. Come and join us for all the water fun.

Waterfit

A more intense interval water workout that uses a circuit format. Can be modified for a wide range of fitness levels. Great for overall toning or cross training.

Aqua Fit

A water exercise class for both swimmers and non-swimmers. Helps improve flexibility and cardiovascular endurance.

Wellness Coaching

These appointments teach specific skills that help set realistic goals and adjust exercise programs. A qualified Wellness Coach will develop a personalized exercise program to help you reach your goals.

Silver Sneakers Classic

SilverSneakers Classic is an emphasis on exercises for upper and lower body. Designed to help muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily independent living.

BOOM -Move, Muscle & Mind

Cardio is a safe heart-healthy, gentle aerobics class that includes easy to follow, low impact movement, upper body strength and stretching exercises designed to energize your active lifestyle.

Refresh & Rejuvenate

Weekly meetings with a certified instructor who will help you set realistic goals, monitor your progress, give you nutrition tips, help you learn proper fitness form and more.

Personal Training

Customized fitness sessions for weight loss, sports conditioning or rehabilitation. In depth one-on-one training with a Certified Personal Trainer who can design and supervise an exercise program to meet your very specific needs.

Step, Core & More

Step, Core & More combines step training, cardio drills, strength training and core work. This invigorating class will change you and keep you coming back for more!

Zumba

This class is a fun and fast paced way to maximize your calorie output! Zumba is a fusion of music, muscle, dance and fitness combined to create total body toning. The “go with flow” atmosphere is perfect for beginners and more advanced students.

Y Strong & Lean

These classes include plenty of cardio and free weight training to maximize your calorie-burning potential while building muscle.

Cycling

Our instructors will lead you through a challenging series of courses to maximize tour caloric burn. You control your own resistance and speed allowing you to continuously progress forward from your current fitness l

Flag Football League

Our Flag Football League provides an atmosphere of fun and friendly competition. It is designed for participants to experience the joy of organized sports while promoting teamwork and good sportsmanship.

Pee Wee Basketball

The first basketball experience for your child. The BBJ YMCA Pee Wee league puts and emphasis on learning skills and having fun.

T-Ball Leagues

The Barbara B. Jordan YMCA T-Ball program introduces participants to the basics of baseball, including batting, throwing, and fielding.  This non-competitive, instructional league will emphasize the important youth sports values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and fair play. 

Fall Soccer League

Through YMCA soccer, participating youngsters will learn the basics of soccer, plus the important life skills of teamwork, fair play, and good sportsmanship. All ability levels are welcome to participate.

Youth Swim Lessons

Our youth swim lessons teaches children, ages 6+, proper techniques and safety skills. The lessons also provide a foundation that will enable children to enjoy aquatic activities throughout their lives.

Swim Basics Aquatic Program

The primary objective of this program is the personal safety of the preschool youngster. The class helps to develop confidence, endurance, and beginning swim skills.

Total Body Training

This class is a body transformer! By using a combination of stability balls, medicine balls, resistance bans, dumbbells, and numerous cardio exercises, your body will become a powerful fat-burning machine!

Karate (ages 5 and up)

Learn the basics of American Isshinryu Karate. Exercise for a healthier mind, body and spirit, based on the principles of character development. Mixed age class focusing on youth needs.

SilverSneakers® Fitness Program – The nation’s leading exercise program designed exclusively for seniors! Classes focus on muscular strength and range of movement.

Fit Family Friday

Families that get fit together, SUCCEED together! Families will learn one simple healthy habit to build on each week and participate in fitness-related activities. Prizes will be given based on participation. Get STRONG as a family.

Home School Gym & Swim

Our Home School Gym & Swim program provides physical and education opportunities for those families who choose to educate their children at home.
